. The camera itself is good, with high-quality images. The sound is reasonably clear. I have only been able to get it working when connected directly to my router via network cable. The WIFI setup was unattainable, despite a couple of email communications with the VStarCam support. They did attempt to help me, and were nice to deal with. I am happy I was able to get it connected, but would have preferred the WIFI connection. Another negative thing I have noticed is that the base of the unit gets in the way of the camera, so the full view is obstructed when you are trying to look down with the camera from a tabletop.

When you finish setup and find that your camera has a purple tint to everything, set your video recording to 60hz and trigger the night vision once and when it comes back the colors will be quite amazing. This camera’s PTZ controls are very good and very responsive, the TF card recording uses a timeline like professional surveillance cameras, it has a spot light that’s quite good also! It supports motion tracking, human detection, will record events only with 3 settings from ultra short, short, and long, and do 24 hour recording straight to the TF card. It does promote cloud service but I’m not a huge fan of it. The app itself runs adds that can be permanently disabled as one of the options! The picture quality is decent at “Super HD” and the overall camera build is pretty good!For value, for picture quality, not forcing you to use subscription for advanced features, decent build, great mounting options and an app that’s actually quite polished… I highly highly highly recommend this camera. Amazing companies deserve the recognition! I wish I had two to test two cameras on my wireless, but this one so far, will considering ordering more after I remodel my home.

. Camera really works well, stays connected with zero issues for me, and I love that it’s ran from a type C charger cable and I use one in my truck with my mobile hotspot for security when I’m out on the road traveling. I will be buying more.

. Very easy to set up and use, but this product cannot distinguish between tree branch movement and what it calls humanoid. At the very lowest humanoid sensitivity setting it’s still couldn’t tell the difference, and a tree branch close to my front door set it off constantly. I sent it back.
